Site terms

The terms, kept as short as they can honestly be.

Two separate things are covered here: using this website, and booking a repair from St. Johns County Appliance. The second is the one with money in it.

The terms below describe a visit like this one, and only a visit like this one.

Using this site

Everything published here is general guidance about how appliances fail in St. Johns County and what usually causes it. It is written from work done in this county, and it is not a diagnosis of your machine. Nobody can diagnose an appliance they have not tested, ourselves included.

Do not treat any page here as instructions for working on a live electrical circuit, a gas connection or a sealed refrigeration system. Those are regulated for good reasons.

Figures and sources

The service sequence, the failure modes and the maintenance guidance on this site describe how this company works and what we see in the field. They are general information, not a diagnosis of your appliance, and no page here can substitute for someone looking at it. Where a ZIP has no published figure we say so instead of estimating one, and we test at the tap on the visit.

We publish no invented model numbers, no invented error codes and no invented community names. If a page describes a symptom rather than a code, that is deliberate.

Reviews and ratings

The customer entries on this site are published as they were given to us, with a first name and an initial, and the poor ones are printed beside the good ones. The average shown beside them is calculated from those entries and from nothing else; it is not a figure anyone types in. Where the site emits rating markup, it does so only on a page that also prints the entries that markup summarises.

Brand names

Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Miele, Bosch and every other manufacturer name on this site are the trademarks of their respective owners. They appear here for one purpose: to identify the appliances we repair, which is what a repair company has to be able to say in order to describe its own work.

No manufacturer logo, brand typeface or brand color scheme appears anywhere on this site. Every brand name is set as plain text in this site's own faces.

St. Johns County Appliance is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any of the manufacturers named on this site. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

Booking a repair

A visit is $129, flat, credited against the repair if the work goes ahead. You receive a written estimate before any work begins, and nothing is fitted before you have approved it. Prices quoted on an estimate hold for thirty days; parts availability does not, and we will tell you when a component is on allocation rather than in stock.

Appointments are scheduled. There is no after-hours or emergency service. If you need to move an appointment, a call the day before means the slot goes to someone else instead of going empty.

Warranty

90 days on labor, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts. The full terms, including what is excluded and why scale damage is treated as maintenance, are on the warranty page.

Liability

We carry general liability insurance and we are responsible for the work we do and for damage we cause. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults we did not touch, for food loss during a refrigeration failure, or for consequential losses arising from an appliance being out of service. Nothing here limits any right you hold under Florida law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in the courts of St. Johns County, Florida.
